  3. Please note the following:
  4.  
  5. 1) You MUST HAVE WINDOWS 3.1 to run this program.  Trying to run it
  6.    under Windows 3.0 will NOT WORK, so don't try it.
  7.  
  8. 2) This program is not freeware.  It is offered to the public as
  9.    shareware, which means you look at it, and if you like it and want
  10.    to use it forever and ever, you should pay for it.  See the enclosed
  11.    Write files for details on how to do that.
  12.  
  13. 3) CMPQwk Reader is Copyright 1993 by Derek Backus and all rights are
  14.    reserved by him.  The enclosed documentation and other text support
  15.    files are Copyright 1993 by Todd Henschell.

  17.                  *****INSTALLING THE PROGRAM*****
  18.  
  19. It's pretty easy.  You should have two zip files.  One is CQWK100A.ZIP
  20. and the other is CQWK100B.ZIP.  The second file isn't MANDATORY for
  21. operation of the program, but unless you have it, CMPQwk isn't going to
  22. spell check your messages.  The dictionary for that is enclosed in that
  23. second file.

  25. You must have the following:
  26.  
  27.     1) Windows 3.1 up and running with at least two megs of RAM.
  28.  
  29.     2) About 3.2 megabytes of free disk space on a drive
  30.            where you can *install* the program.
  31.  
  32.     3) About 3.2 megabytes of disk space to unpack the zip
  33.            files (into a temp directory) so you can run the
  34.            setup.  C:\temp will work fine, try to make it
  35.            a new or empty directory so you can delete the files
  36.            after you run the install.  Keep the zips, but you won't
  37.            need the files you put into the temp dir after they're
  38.            installed.

  40. All this being satisfied, unpack both zip files into your temp dir
  41. and run the SETUP.EXE program, either by double-clicking it in a File
  42. Manager directory window, or clicking on Program Manager's File, Run,
  43. menu, and then entering the path to the SETUP.EXE file and pressing ENTER..
  44.  
  45. Tell SETUP where you want to put the program.  The default should work
  46. for most folks.  Put it where you'd like it, but it's best to put it in
  47. its own directory, and not with something else.
  48.  
  49. Setup will copy the files and advise you when it's finished.  If you
  50. are using Program Manager as your shell, it will offer to put an icon
  51. for CMPQwk there for you.  Choose which group you'd like to use.
  52.  
  53. Double-click on the Program Manager icon, or double-click on the
  54. CMPQWK.EXE file in a File Manager window.
  55.  
  56. The first time the program loads it will open a sample packet.  Read
  57. through the sample packet to see explanations on some of the features.
